Do you have all your jewelry piled up somewhere and never wear it like me?
Its time to change that and start wearing all those cute things!
So, while putting stuff (from the move) away today, I found this really old cork board that was already falling apart.
And I thought it would be a neat idea to use it for my jewelry. At first I just wanted to put some pins in it and hang my stuff on them.
But that would have looked ugly, so I came up with a super simple way to transform an ugly and old cork board into something unique and super cute, by simply stapling fabric around it...easy huh?! (And I am probably not the first one that thought of that either :)
So, instead of just doing it for me, I thought I'd share it with you guys! Cool, right?!
Ok, enough babbling, lets get started!
Here is what you'll need:
♥ a big cork board (mine is 23'' x 36'')
♥ fabric (about 2'' wider and longer than the board)
♥ a staple gun
Put the cork board face down on the wrong side of the fabric. Make sure there is about 1" of fabric hanging over.
First staple one long side, then staple the other long side while pulling it tight.
Then, staple the corners.
Now, staple one short side. Then, staple the other short side while pulling it tight.
Turn it around and it should be all nice and pulled tight. :)
I used a large needle to poke holes for the earrings. If you try to put the earring through the fabric into the board without poking a hole first, they might bend.
Grab some pins for the necklaces and put them in the board.
I also put a (hand-crocheted by my son) string across for my hair bows.
And thats it. You are done and have the cutest jewelry display ever!

Now it's your turn, in the comments below tell me which is your must-have accessory/jewelry piece?!
Happy crafting!
